November 2025 Employees of the Month

GGUSD’s Employee of the Month program is designed to recognize employees who: put others first; go above and beyond to make a difference in their role; carry out each day with a positive attitude and strong work ethic and demonstrate innovation, leadership, and passion for their job.



Phuong Thao Dinh

McGarvin Intermediate

Thao joined the district in 2016 and serves as an Algebra and Vietnamese teacher at McGarvin Intermediate. Thao was nominated for this recognition by two students who shared that she is an encouraging math teacher who does an amazing job elaborating on instruction to ensure student understanding. One student said, “She would go out of her way to give students like me the opportunity to correct heir assignments. She always sees the good in students and believes all students can succeed if they try.” Another student shared that her positive personality cheers students up because she is very encouraging as students enter her classroom. The student went on to say that her personal story of overcoming adversity to become a teacher and now giving back to her own parents is inspiring.  The student shared that on top of teaching math, she is also the National Junior Honor Society Co-Advisor and Pentathlon Coach, always planning events and supporting students in these programs. It’s clear that Thao has a passion for teaching and is inspiring students to reach their full potential.

Christine Ditzler-Martin

Allen Elementary

Christine Ditzler-Martin joined the district in 2012 and has served as an Instructional Assistant II supporting Special Education students at Monroe, Northcutt, and Peters K-3 Elementary Schools. She presently serves at Allen Elementary School where she has been since 2019. Christine was nominated for this recognition by several staff members who said Christine really cares about each students’ academic and emotional well-being and that she goes above and beyond to meet each student where they are. She has a way of knowing what students need and is always there to support them in the kindest way without making students stand out or feel embarrassed. She is stealthy, moving from room to room to support students without any interruptions. One teacher shared that Christine helped support a student having a medical emergency, jumping into action with a calm demeanor and staying beyond the school day to make sure everything was take care of. Cristine is a wonderful asset to the Allen community and is loved and respected by staff and students alike.
